Linus Pauling Explains Electronegativity Part 2

Me: Linus Pauling is calling, let’s see what he wants.

Linus: Hi again Dr. Iverson. I wanted to remind everyone that when two different kinds of atoms are bonded together through a sigma bond, the electron density of the bond is not shared evenly.  More electronegative atoms get more electron density, and less electronegative atoms get less electron density. To make it easier, I quantified electronegativities for you with my Pauling electronegativity scale.  Peace out from here.
